Please note the springs for these ladders are fitted whilst ladder is in the horizontal position NOT while in the packed up vertical.

The Loft Ladder, comes fully assembled ready to fit openings 600mm long x 500mm wide or greater . The unit is fitted to the inside of the hatch by means of a wooden plate 450mm x 200mm, (see image below).

For floor to ceiling heights up to 2.73m, select the 10 tread, for floor to ceiling heights up to 3.00m select the the 11 tread. Heights are floor to ceiling plus 30mm. You should allow for a maximum vertical clearance of 500mm from ceiling below to highest point of ladder above.

Their sprung controlled operation, keeps concertina ladders horizontal in hatch when not in use. They are brought to vertical with the hook, which is supplied, then extended to the floor and adjusted to suit your own position.

Strong construction, with wide treads (80mm x 350mm). These loft ladders come with hinges, door catch and pole hook (pole not supplied). Installation instructions supplied.

This loft ladder is available from stock in one of four standard sizes. It is constructed from pressure die-cast aluminium and supplied without the trap and lining.

This ladder is perfect for installations where a lined ceiling aperture already exists, but it is also suitable for installation onto mezzanine floors and can also be mounted onto vertical walls to give access for service maintenance.

The ladder are supplied as a ready to fit unit fixed to a 600 x 200mm laminated wood mounting board, which can simply be screwed to an appropriate surface in the location required.

Counterbalance springs mounted on the hinge brackets plus control springs in the side arms ensure that the stairway operates smoothly and safely with the minimum of effort.

The ladder can also be fitted with a telescopic handrail , it is possible to have the handrail on the left or indeed on both sides.
